Established in 1886, Saint Stanislaus School has a long history of serving the Slavic Village neighborhood. As the community has changed, so have we. Through the lens of Catholic education, we have high expectations of our students and work with parents and families to guide our students towards success. That success includes sound academic performance, good character, and an awareness that we are all a part of a larger community where our contribution matters. Additionally, our partner across the parking lot, Cleveland Central Catholic, continues the tradition of preparedness for success for students in grades 9 through 12.
From the Principal, Dr. Martin ~Well, January certainly was a challenging month. Cold, snow, wind, days off... We did our best to keep learning continuing, even while our students were at home. But we've lifted and shifted, and now we are into February.
We begin February by celebrating Catholic Schools Week. A bit later than usual, but we did not want to short-change our celebration because we missed three days for weather. It will be a fun-filled celebration of all that we are! This month we recognize Black History Month and Lent begins. Two powerful themes of sacrifice and grace. We hope to instill in our school community a sense of gratitude for all that has come before, as well as heightening their awareness of all they can be. The transformation from student to citizen, in a spiritual sense, is one of our goals for our children. Peace and all good~ |
