Established in 1886, Saint Stanislaus School has a long history of serving the Slavic Village neighborhood. As the community has changed, so have we. Through the lens of Catholic education, we have high expectations of our students and work with parents and families to guide our students towards success. That success includes sound academic performance, good character, and an awareness that we are all a part of a larger community where our contribution matters. Additionally, our partner across the parking lot, Cleveland Central Catholic, continues the tradition of preparedness for success for students in grades 9 through 12.
From the Principal, Dr. Martin ~During March, we begin the path of remembering God's love, as we follow Jesus through His final days on earth. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, continuing with our Friday representations of the Stations of Cross, and creating our feasting/fasting commitments, it is our hope to bring our children to Jesus in a different way. Through the pain and suffering of Jesus, we realize how very much God loves us. We use Jesus' journey as a message to our children that sacrifice and praying and fasting are part of our way to heaven.
We also invite our children to share their understanding of God's love and the purpose of Jesus' travels by focusing on the message of the Bible. There, we find the answers to make sense of our world around us. We become beacons of hope and faith by following Scripture. As our students strive to grow into children of Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge, we invite them to look to God for guidance. Know that as we continue on our Lenten journey, we are praying for peace and growth for all of our families. |
